ok so i installed a 3" lift on my brother in laws 97 ZJ also installed a front track bar relocation bracket and a new steering stabilizer ok heres the problem it gets the death wobbles at 45 mph and brother in law thinks he need a drop pitman arm and that will fix it but i told him that it wont help a thing bc he only has a 3" lift. i told him to get alignment even thow we alignmented it with a tap and got it pretty close...so what u guys think

The caster and toe are out of whack because of the lift, both of those alignment angles will cause a wobble issue. Tell the damn dummy to have the thing aligned.

toe wont cause DW, but caster will (but not likely). at 3.5", its probably not seriously out of spec to cause an issue.

the POS track bar bracket could be loose, or the track bar could be loose. id look into those first.

I just did a DIY toe adjustment after I lifted mine and it drives straight as an arrow, out of spec caster would most likely cause it to wander, not give you DW. most likely a loose suspension component/worn out bushing

Caster was my death wobble culprit, after my 3" lift . Got it on my to the shop, caster was at like 5* we maxed it out on stock lcas to 6.5* . Stock specs is 6.5*-7.5*. Get it aligned before he tears stuff up or wrecks it. And toe was pretty out, no alignment= bald inside front tires.

Ya he def needs to get it aligned and yes relocating the trac-bar is good but the stock trac-bars have a joint on the end of them i would reccomend the RC aftermarket one. It has non joint in it and is completly solid and other than that i would just have him check his Bearings.

not enough toe WILL cause death wobble, but there are many other factors as well.

get it aligned. check ball joints, control arms, trac bar.
