Default ZJ door rubbing against fender

Unfortunately a drunk driver hit me at 15mph roughly :/. On the bright side I'm physically okay but I just bought a 97 Gc Laredo I fell in love with it being a great ride and was in great condition before not a scratch.

They hit the side driver door towards the fender and when I opened the door it makes a loud sound against the fender rubbing some paint off not too bad at all. Just want to stop this sound it could wake my neighborhood up. Anyone with any sort of advice would be so great right now it's been on my mind all day.

Mine did that, I just took a bar and bent the fender back/out far enough that it wouldn't catch when opening/closing.

The easiest way is to put a piece of wood in the gap and use the door as the lever to adjust it a little.

I don't even remember. One day it started popping and binding real bad and when I saw what was happening I just bent the fender out. I'll admit that I was not overly concerned about messing up the body. One of the perks of having a nearly 30 year old indestructible mobile brick.

Umm that drunk mf'er should be in jail and you should be getting a check from his insurance company. If he didn't have insurance sue him personally.
