Hey everybody. I just boutght a 93 jeep grand cherokee with a 6" lift and 33s. Every thing is working right and it need some beauty work, but it running fine. i notice that once my engine warms up, my battery gauge stays at 14 when im driving, then when i slow down and stop, the gauge drops to almost 9. And same with the oil pressure gauge. when im driving, its pretty consistant between 40 and 60, but then when i slow down and stop it drops to below 40. any suggestions?? (note. It has a brand new alternator on it)

 

sounds normal to me engine speedds up = more charging and oil flow less rpm = less charging and less oil flow mine does the same thing

 

yeah... this is normal.

 

Ok.. PHEWW! I just bought it and my dads trying to convince me that the oil pump and alternator are starting to go.. Thanks for the clearification!

 

yeah Those are both basically perfect numbers to be running at!
