Default wk cel ?

So my room mate has an 07 grand wiht the hemi. The gas cap wasnt tightened and it threw a cel code for air metering flow. When i checjed the code on wkjeeps.com it said it had somehing to do with the 02 sensor... Number 1-1. I got it cleared due to the fact that i beleived it was thrown cause the gas cap was left off. About a mile down the road it came back on. Is this something i would need to get a new 02 sensor for or is there a way i can get the light to shut off. I read somewhere that if you clear it 3 times it resets the computer. It just a hassle to go to the auto parts store everytime to clear it... All i need to know is do i need a new sensor. If i do spot 1-1 would be which? Top drivers side? Thanks

What code was is, what was the code description? If the code comes back after clearing there is a good chance that the sensor has failed.

Bank 1 is the side that cylinder 1 is on, which is the right side or passenger side.
Sensor 1 is the upstream (aka: front, upper, before cat)

It could be rare that would would have another problem causing that code. So without looking at it myself with a scanner and data logger I would have to make a best educated guess that you need to replace that sensor.

BTW I goofed up the post I made earlier (guess it was late). Bank 1 is the drivers side, or left side. I edited the post above, and sorry for the confusion. The drivers side bank 1 cylinder numbers are 1,3,5,7 frt to back, pass side bank 2 is 2,4,6,8 frt to back.

Ok thanks. Ia it hard to change it. With basic mechanical knowledge. Or does it require stuff to be torn apart

I dont know about your particular application. Some are very easy when others are a pita. You will probably want the engine to be cool. 7/8 or 22mm wrench should get the sensor out. They make special sockets too and if needed your local auto parts store should either sell them or have a too loaner deal. Sometimes even getting to the connector can be tough.
