I wouldn't go over a 29.5 or 30 inch overall diameter. My 00 WJ has 245/70R16s on it and they fill the wheel well to max. With snow pack, they rub the liners. I'm thinking of going to a 2" lift for better clearance.

I am running 245/70/17 general at/2s. No problems with rubbing but it is an Overland with the up country package. 1 inch taller than non Overland wj. So I have been told.

Yeah, That's what I'm thinking of going to. My basic Laredo needs the upcountry springs.

Found this on one of the jeep forums. Tire size suggestions are located at the bottom. I am running Mastercraft courser AXT in a 245/65r17 on my limited. They are great, really fill the wheel well. And I have been running theses tires on my two f350's at work and they have worn great considering the daily trailer pulling and weighed down trucks with auxiliary fuel tanks and tools. Got almost 50k miles out one set till they fail DOT regulations.
