hi all so im in the process of swapping out my lp D30 in my WJ, I know depending on which transfer case you had 247 vs 242 the axles were different. My question is what differences are there? are the axle interchangeable? if so what years? my WJ is a 99 V8 with quadratrac and the 247. anymore questions feel free to ask, Thanks!

Other than gearing and the somewhat rare factory LSD the axles are the same. The main difference it the yoke type for the drive shaft. Some use a u joint others use a CV. Either can easily be swapped for the other.
