Default Wiper fluid comes out front back blades mover and vise versa

Okay i just got a 99 WJ and and went to use the wiper fluid on the front window but when i pulled on the little lever thing the wiper blades move but the fluid comes out the back. And when i push the lever the back wiper blades move but the fluid comes out the front. Obviously a wiring issue but wiring isnt my favorite thing...i suck at understanding it lol so does anyone know how i would re wire this?

Thanks for anyone who can help me with this!

Yep, the hoses or the plugs are swapped. Simple fix.

Your washer tank should have both pumps on it - and either the hoses have gotten reversed, or the electrical connectors (the pumps are usually identical.) Find them, and swap one or the other - should solve the issue. (DO NOT swap both - you'll just end up with the same problem! Either the electrical or the hose will do.)

Thanks for the quick replies, sorry if it was a stupid question. I dont get how people can be that lazy when replacing things, its not hard to just put a piece of electric tape to identify which ones which if they are identical. again thanks!

Not a stupid question - you didn't know, now you do.

Don't even get me started on stupid stuff that "previous owners' (POs) do. I've been mechanic (hobbyist &/or professional wrench) for 35 years!

Just as an aside, my front pump decided to quit one winter day on the way to work, so I switched connecters and hoses until I could replace the bad pump.
