window switches

window switches
On my 95 GC limited, the window switches only work when the door is closed. If I leave one of the rear doors open for example and the driver door is closed, i can open or close the open rear door's window from the drivers door switch, but if i try the rear door switch with the door open it doesnt work. is this normal?
