Default Where is my EVAP canister

I have a service manual for my 97 grand Cherokee 4L and it says that my EVAP canister is mounted to my back left fender.

There isn't a canister on either side of my jeep nor can I find any hoses that run over to those general areas. The only hoses coming off my gas tank go to the fill port and the motor.

Cant get gas into the jeep, I obviously have a problem. The net says the EVAP lines might be clogged, they apparently get this way from getting a little muddy

Can anyone tell me where to start looking?
