Most of the stuff I've seen on ebay was junk made in China, check out www.rockauto.com for quality parts at great prices.

Go with a quality Timken assembly with lifetime warranty and be done with it.

That's the route I would go. Can't really say no to a lifetime warranty.

I bought my Timkins from rockauto as well, top notch all the way around. My dad on the other hand bought his Timkin bearings ('98 XJ) from Auto Zone, and I didn't know they even carried them.

But I bet you got a better price, even with shipping from Rock Auto than from Auto Zone.

I just checked for my '99 WJ.

Auto Zone - $82.99 per side, $165.98 for both.
Rock Auto - $66.89 per side, $133.78 for both.

That's a difference of $32.20, but when I add 2 bearings to my rockauto cart it shows shipping to be $33.50 v/s free shipping from AZ, so it is closer than it initially appears. I use ebates.com would get 4% cash back by going through AZ, so that's who I would probably go with if I were doing it right now.

Ha, check this out.

AZ here in El Paso, TX has the Timken wheel bearing assembly for $92.99 each!! Even with my 10% military discount, Rock Auto is still cheaper, at least for this area of the US.

Ah, yeah then definitely go with rockauto in that situation. I've always had a superb experience with them, but I also always search for the best deal I can find for quality parts (some things you just don't want to cheap out on). Unfortunately that meant I wasn't going to spend $35 for a cheap CPS from AZ or Advance Auto and had to pop $93 shipped for a Mopar CPS from moparonlineparts.com, but that was still a lot better than $135 from my local dealer! But I digress, so to the OP, I would stick with Timken as they have both a lifetime warranty as well as a solid reputation amongst Jeepers.
