They can leak out of the weep hole for up to months just watch your coolant level and know that you are throwing the dice every time you start it up. When it completely craps on you, it does it without worning other than the leak out the weep hole.

Yeah, I was heading into town for a haircut, of all things. My little drip out the weep hole turned into a flow out the weep hole with the associated spike of the needle on the temp. gauge, halfway there. It was not a good day.

its not that hard to do yourself, and the pump can be bought for like 45 bux. don't put it off too long.

No, it didn't cause any other damage when it went but, I am **** about watching my gauges. As soon as it started getting hot, I pulled over and shut the motor off.

i know it's not hard but it does take a while and my only free time is after 9pm and it's 20 degrees and my jeep barely fits in my garage right now...anyway where did you find one for $45? they're more than double that at my parts stores

edit that just found one for 75

ya i know how that is, cold and late are not a fun time to wrench. as far as price, thats off the top of my head, but thats about right for me, i just did mine but i get around 50% off cuz i manage, and wrench in a shop.

don't go for the cheapest parts though either. i hate the discount auto stores, its really rolling the dice, sometimes a good part, sometimes it takes 3 tries to get one.
