Anyone know why there would be water in the line from the EVAP pump to the tank? I replaced the front part of the line with clear tubing a while back. Now getting the Small Leak code, cleared it 2x, then the Small Leak and Large Leak codes popped up. OK. So today I got under it, and can see water in the clear line where it meets the smaller hard plastic line that goes along the frame to the tank.
This was with engine off, since last night. Bubbles.
Actually I saw bubbles coming through the line, good thing it's clear.
So, there is a leak...followed back and sure enough the small rubber hose 1/4" hose connecting the two hard lines above the rear axle was loose fitting, took it off and no more bubbles. Cut fresh ends on it and coated with silicone. Cleared the codes and probably it's fine now.
BUT...why would there be water in the line in the first place...? Condensation?? Leaky canister under the front bumper?? (not wanting to do THAT job)....

Answering my own question. Ok so the codes came back and quickly. This time it was large leak with small leak pending. Also noticed the idle seems high lately. So look and right under the hood I had mismatched a coupling in the main line going to the tank. It was so loose it literally fell apart in my hand.
I think the water in the line was actually sucked in rain water from that spot as it was close to the cowl. Reset and checking.
