Tyre Pressure Valves
Hi everyone, Just bought a Grand Cherokee 5.7 HEMI V8 with LPG conversion. Very Happy with it indeed, just tried to take the stainless steel dust caps off the valves and it snapped the valve stem, totally deflating the tyre. Don't want to try to remove anymore incase the same happens agian!! Can I get the valve stem replaced or do I have to replace the whole valve including the pressure sensor and then get them all re-calibrated,
Many Thanks
Gary

ok, assuming it has tpms, there has been a bulletin issued to not use metal valve caps, they corrode to the stem then break, no, u can not replace just the stem, have to replace the sensor. Another option is that you live without tpms and just put a rubber stem in.
