transmission
i have a 1994 jeep grand cherokee 4x4 5.2 limited v8 transmission. I took my jeep into service and goodyear found a half a snap ring on the bottom of the transmission pan with some brass shavings on top of the aluminum shavings the oil was a dirty dark reddish brown color. should i take in for transmission internal repair. im gonna have the shop replace a snap ring and transmission gasket and the part that is brass. after taking into service jeep still does not want to accerlate after a dead stop and some times shifts into third gear at 3000 rpm when in drive but better to manually shift itfrom 1 2 and then put into drive at 1500 to 1700 rpm. a better transmission said they would charge 20 for a new snap ring and 110 for transmission gasket and 11.9 hours to do full internal repair service which is 1000 dollars. i really want to keep this jeep
