OK, have read the many posts including the BIG STICKY but I still need some help /Advice.
I have a 1998 Grand Cherokee ZJ 4liter stright 6 with a 249 TC which has gone south big time. The car has a 2" BB lift on it apart from that it is standard.
I have the option on a TC242 from a 1997 Cherokee Limted XJ 4liter stright 6
I have notice the output shaft on the TC going to my rear prop shaft on the TC249 is about 3" long.
On the output shaft on the TC242 it is about 5-6" long.
Is this a direct replacement?
Or do I need a differnt drive shaft?
Please help before I get in to this I really what to get all mu ducks in a row.
Thanks
