I have a 94 GC that's 4 wheel all time with the I6 engine in it. and its leaking trans fluid pretty badly. its dripping off the pan but i cant seem to find the source...could it possibility be loose bolts on the pan?

Could be the pan, front seal, lines, linkage to case o-ring, it's hard to say. Spray it down good with brake clean to get rid of all the old leakage , wipe it down good, and watch for any new signs of leakage.

Well that could be your problem. I would take the pan off and see what you have with that bolt and see if it is striped. The gasket could also have bad and need to be replaced.

While the pan is off, see if a bolt will tighten in the suspect hole. If not, you'll either have to repair it with a Heli-Coil thread insert, or drill it out and re-tap it for the next size larger bolt.

Labor-wise, drilling and tapping it for the next size larger bolt is easier, you'll just have one odd bolt holding the pan on. It's all in what you want to do.
