My question is do you guys think the front diff & the rear diff from that v8 jeep fit my 02 Jeep Grand Cherokee wj now the only thing is that my jeep has an 4.0 straight 6 motor in it. I kno the body parts and interior suspension dose. let me know what you fellas think

The "front rear" is a front differential and the "back rear" is the rear differential. Backwards *** things people say. Plenty of jersey people say it for some reason.

They will bolt in, but getting them to function will require bringing the electronics over from the V8 as well. A nightmare to be sure! In my opinion, the 4.7 isn't worth the effort. Now a Hemi on the other hand....

What would be the problem with the ft & rear differentials swapping them the front is a D30 and the rear is a stronger D44a, might need some driveshaft work to fit IDK. The trans and transfer case would require a wiring swap for them to work properly but if the engine were good in the other one I would use it. But I've just had very good luck with mine for 220,000 mi.

Fred, meaning no disrespect, but any engine will last if taken care of, but yours has been pampered by the dealer so long it doesn't know how to misbehave! I'm sure it hasn't been mistreated either!

Dave I do tow with it a lot and have drag raced it 20-30 runs against early model GC's with Hemi's in them at the race track. Lost 5 times 3 of them to the same one by .3-.4 in the 1/4 but burnt him down on the tree and out 60' him bad, had him in the 1/8 but he came on the big end.
No doubt the previous owner took very good care of it but I don't baby it at all and still love to hear the tires break loose on the 1-2 shift. But those only apply to the last 6 yrs. of it's life that I owned it.
I agree the 4.7's were not so great in the early models at all and had issues that are well known. But faced with needing an engine and not having a 4.0 to replace his I would use the 4.7 as a cheap way to get running again if he had a running good one is all.
Main thing I was addressing were the differentials could be used.

Oh, I agree on the axles, but he may need to mess around with driveshafts. I've also heard they make a special u-joint now that has large caps on one axis and small caps on the other. That makes the swap a lot easier.
Fred, you astound me! I wasn't aware you raced the WJ. Good for you!
