Default Torque converter bolts rubbing?!?!

I just had the transmission replaced in my wife's '00 WJ and we are having some issues with it. The torque converter bolts are rubbing intermittently on the inspection cover plate. The bolts have been checked and are tight. Any ideas what would cause the movement to make the bolts only rub sometimes?

Bent inspection plate? Wrong bolts used for the T/C, maybe the bolt heads are to big. Maybe they bent, warped or cracked the flex plate during the replacement.

Default Same issue here (over 10 years later I hope you still see this lmao)

I have the same issue! I have a 95 ZJ and the bolts for the torque converter are rubbing on the inspection plate. The inspection plate was in perfect condition. I had purchased the ZJ almost a year ago and when I got it, it only did it when on an incline. It became consistent a few weeks later so after that I had to bend the inspections plate and space it out where the starter mounts with washers. I have been running it for 6 months like this due to not have the space or time to drop the transmission and get a good look. With the plate spaced out it still makes the noise but it’s not too often and it’s very inconsistent. It only does it upon accelerating and towards the top end of each gear if it does do it. Bit like I said it’s inconsistent and sometimes doesn’t do it at all but when it does this is when. Was wondering if you found a fix. The transmission was rebuilt and put in right before I got it. It kinda seems like the torque converter is not pushed in all the way but I have had zero issues with it besides noise.
