what size socket/wrench do I need to remove front caliper and mount(knuckle) on my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee? I eventually need to access and replace broken wheel studs.

The caliper slide pins are 7mm Allen. You can pull the whole shooting match off with just the mounting bracket bolts. I think they are 12-point bolts so you need at 12-point wrench or socket, but I may be thinking about the hub bolts. They are freaking tight, BTW! DO NOT LET THE CALIPER HANG ON THE HOSE!! Use a wire hook and hang it on the spring.
