Hey guys what's your thoughts on tb spacers? Do they give you more power, torque,or just a waste of money??? Thanks for the advice.

I believe their a waste of money. Many will swear to the benifits. I think TB spacers are in the same catagory with those weird things you put in the air filter houseing to make a "vortex" of air to help with combustion....silly stuff if you ask me.
But if you like it then go for it, because it is your jeep.

mmmm... maybe... depends on what you have done already. The first thing to do is to get a catback exhaust. Next would be either a drop in filter or an intake kit depending on your budget.

Like stated above, I think on a stock engine they're a waste of money.
But if you add other mods, such as a milled head, bigger cam, bigger valves, bigger injectors, and a better exhaust you'll see a big improvement over stock.
The same goes for adding a '99+ intake to an early engine. That will improve power also.
Better flow = better performance.

ABSOLUTELY correct. Spacers, headers, hi-flow mufflers, etc are not of much benefit without the entire package. One won't increase performance appreciably without the others included.

However using a carb or TBI there is proof out the **** that a spacer gives you gains on a stock intake. That is one big reason high rise intakes offer a tall throat for the carb to sit on.
Using a different intake is very different than using a TB spacer in the fact that using an intake with a different design physically changes the way air flows through that intake.

The reason the taller throat works for carbs is because that is where the fuel is mixed with the air...with the MPI, the mixing takes place in the cylinder or right before it goes in, yes? so all the little whizbangs that go infront of all that dont really have an effect on it...
