I rented a JK Rubicon in Moab and was amazed at the stuff we could crawl up with the lockers engaged. I was curious what type of Lockers if any would work in my 03 WJ Limited with Quadra Trac II and 4.0 motor? I know nothing about lockers so hoping someone might explain to me the different types of lockers out there and how they work since I am stupid when it comes to these. I have tried to read a bit but am so confused. Some of the terms I have come across regarding lockers. Aussie, Lunchbox, ARB, Air, Electric. What do these all mean and whats the best affordable and good way to go?


Currently just running with a 2"BB but am planning on doing a RC 4.5" Long arm lift with IRO 6" Coils and Sway bar discos before the lockers... Also looking at running 31-33's on 17" wheels..

Well if yours has the hyrda-lok units in it now you will also need to buy standard axle shafts both front & rear in order to swap to anything other than a hydra-lok. The axle offsets are different.

Well I finally got tyke xj out this last weekend. We put about 300 miles on it gong up to cloudcroft nm and a lil short ride to thy gold claims in orogrande. We ran outta time coz the headlights suck so bad I can barely see anything at night lol. Plus my 2yr old was super tired. She did great with no issues at all. I plan on installing the spartan locker in the rear either this week after work or Saturday so Sunday we can take it out to juando pass. It's pretty close and I'm still feeling the rig out before I put a ton of trust in it. Anyway here's a pic
