Default Sway bar end links

N my 98 grand Cherokee my driver side sway bar end link is about 3/4 of an inch away from the coil while on the passenger side it is only about an 1/4 of and inch away and shows signs of rubbing on the coil is this normal if not how to adjust them.

Jack the jeep up by the frame, loosen the swaybar bolts, cent
er it, see if it happens again in 50 miles

I think it's stock bought the jeep used has a lift on it but it looks like it the stock sway bar

You can do it either way. I did mine on the ground and had zero problems.
