Default Strange "BEEPING" in WJ today

2000 WJ. Only had this since the first of June and LOVE IT! But twice today I heard some beeps coming from the instrument panel area. Both times they were a series of 3 beeps, a short pause, and 3 more beeps. No other warnings. No idiot lights came on. All gauges were normal. The only anomaly (since I got it) is the "AIR BAG" light stays on. Hasn't been a problem so I just ignore it. I also didn't have my seat belt on. But these beeps came well after start off to the next destination. So........ any ideas?

Did you look at the overhead console for any messages? That thing will even remind you if you left your turn signal on! I'm guessing windshield washer fluid low, or coolant low.

No, I didn't! I'll check fluids, maybe. Never had a car beep at me when I needed washer fluid.

Well you've got to remember the Grand Cherokee is the top-of-the-line of Jeeps! Unfortunately they are designed for the road rather than off-road and for comfort more than function. I'm not saying they aren't capable, they are just designed with comfort in mind to increase sales! If you don't think so, drive a 2018 model. When my 2000 was in the shop for a head change, I rented a 2016 Grand Cherokee and returned it the same day! Everything was controlled on a touchscreen and I just couldn't fathom how to work it. I'm a 73 year-old man with a Tracfone! They gave me a base model Dodge Caravan instead.

It's too bad because that Hemi was nice!

I'm a long ways from being a Millennial (67) and technology in cars is ridiculous. My wife's Honda Pilot beeps, whistles, or pokes you every time you turn a corner! But that's the world we live in. I've wanted a WJ just like this for a few years and finally found one that I had to pull the trigger on. It's a keeper and I'll live with it's anomalies.

Got it! The rear hatch was the culprit. Thanks all!
