Any methods suggested for things to prep for.i.e tarp, etc keep critters out of engine compart. etc

I may need to park my 97 GC outside for at least 3 months on our property up in the Catskill mtns , NY The elevation bout 2500 ft.
With the bulk of winter over I'd expect maybe one or two more snows. It has been a mild winter already with no snow on the ground now. But spring brings the typical rain.
It will be parked next to our summer place there. I'd rather not put it on jack stands. Can put the Batt inside but will not be on a charger (elect is shut off for winter)
