Why would you want to run spacers with stock wheels and tires? You would be doing more harm than good with spacers, save your money and stay off of Craigslist.

Increased load on the bearings, a potential of losing a wheel while driving.

I'm running 245/70R16s on my '00 WJ and they don't rub. The 235/75R16s are only about half an inch taller. The 245s are the optional factory size. They're also 10mm or 3/8 inch wider then your 235s. I really don't think you'll have a problem with them without spacers.
