Starting issue

When I go to start my 97 gc it takes for ever to start, it'll crank and then maybe 5-10 sec later it'll start up, I replaced plugs and wires thinking that was it. But maybe thinking battery. Because when key is in on position the battery gauge is only at about 10

Then replace your battery and report back?

It could be your fuel system as well, dump some seafoam into your gas tank and see if it helps.

Sorry about the late reply. But I was thinking maybe the battery. And I did a seafoam cleaning already

Sounds like your fuel system pressure is leaking down.

First start of the day, "cycle" the key 3x (turn on but not start w/2sec between cycles; just like you were "pulling codes"), it should start right up.
If it does...fuel pressure leak-down.

We have this on our 99 WJ. Our odometer will read..."done". The Mrs says thats how she knows it WILL start right away
