Default stalling when put into gear

96 4.0 laredo, auto trans 165,000 miles.

ok so i had a starting and stalling problem. i started with the usual suspects

checked and or replaced:
cap/rotor
plugs n wires
cam and crank sensors
battery is good
starter (went bad a few months ago before problems)
air filter is good

once i got through that stuff the jeep ran perfect, then the little misses started again. it idles low and when you tap the gas you feel a shutter then the rev. when i put it in gear now it wants to or does die. like another poster said i can keep the jeep alive by poping it into N and flooring it (well keeping it at 3k rpm) so now i think im onto fuel problems not electical right?????
im trying to get ahold of a pressure test system for my fuel rail, that should help me find out if my pump is bad right? i checked under the truck and the fuel filter looks stock to me so im going to change that anyways, i was also thinking about cleaning out the fuel injectors. whats the best way? should i buy a rebuild kit? what other areas can i look at? once i get a day off im going to take out the throttle body and clean it, along with another IAC cleaning. other than that im pretty stumped.

Sounds like a plan. Do the things you talked about and you should see an improvement. I'm willing to bet it's your fuel filter. As far as cleaning the injectors, a good cleaner in the fuel tank should work short of replacing them. There are shops that will clean injectors, but you'll probably spend as much money as buying new ones. Another option is a Pick&pull yard and a pair of cargo pants. (Pockets)
