Squeal On Startup in the Cold?
Hey, folks. So my wife has been driving the 2005 GC due to the snow here, and her CX-9 having crap tires right now...but when we start the Jeep in the COLD, we get a LOUD, high-pitched squeal from under the hood. If we turn off heat and A/C it goes away.
Think that's a belt that's loose due to the cold? Or is it likely something more serious?

that may have a sring loaded belt tensioner that could be weak or seized not letting the spring do its job. you can give a SLIGHT tug on the belt to see if it moves, pull to hard and if its seized it won't go back and then you may be sol. without a new one handy.
