Squeaky Driver Rear
This is getting frustrating. I got a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4. It won't stop squeaking. The squeak is coming from the driver's rear side. It only does it when driving forward. It doesn't do it when in reversed or making left hand turns. We've replaced both rear pads, caliper, and rotor. The wheel bearings also have been done. We do not think its the axle because the machinst who did the bearings did not say the axle was warped at all. We've put disc brake quiet and also brake and caliper grease to try to get rid of the squeak. It's still there and driving me crazy. I've taken it to many mechanics and they can't figure out whats wrong with it. Does anyone have any suggestions?
When we have it up on jacks, we can hear it coming from the brakes by spinning the wheel. When the brakes are applied, the squeak squeak squeak SQUEAK squeak goes away. Its driving me crazy.

It's doing this with all the different parts as well? Usually the tell tale disc brake squeal is from the pads conforming to the rotor kind of like how an old stylus plays a LP record. The pads skip along and resonate that vibration. Did you use CRC disc brake quiet and apply it per the directions on the back of the bottle? Did the calipers come with new slider pins? Other than that the only thing I could suggest is get some 100 grit sandpaper and really rough up both surfaces of the rotor in a "non-directional" pattern.
Rotors are brand new and the crc disc brake quiet was put on per instructions. We just greased the caliper slide pins and the squeak is still around. We were hoping but no luck. Birdie is still around.

Unfortunately its not the brake dust shield. The parking brake was removed in the beginning of the squeak before the wheel bearings were pressed. So at the current time, we do not have the parking brake installed. We have a replacement for it but just haven't put it on yet.
I have to drive at least a mile before birdie starts to talk. Whatever it is, is spinning and making the squeak. Its definitely coming from the driver side rear tire.
I do appreciate everyone's suggestions though.

Try this. Put the rear up on jackstands. Chock the front wheels. If it's constant 4 wheel, you'll have to lift both ends. Take off the rear wheels, start it up, and put it in 1st gear. Watch and listen. You may have to bolt the rotor tight against the axle flange. If the rotor is wobbling, there is something on the flange between it and the rotor, or it's possible the axle got bent when pressing the bearing. If that's what happened, what you are hearing is the rotor kissing the pads every 1/2 revolution. It doesn't take more than .020" or .030" to touch the pads.
I've been a toolmaker for 40 years, and the only way to check for a bent flange or axle is with a dial indicator. Most people do not know that the flange and axle are two pieces, rotationally welded together when red hot. They are different metals, thus have different hardness.

Well since the brakes, rotors and calipers were under a lifetime warranty, we exchanged all of them out and upgraded the brakes to a Thermo Quiet and see how they will work. We originally pulled off the brakes and place the tires back on, spun the wheel and we did not hear any squeaks. We will see how long this lasts. Anything new, I will keep everyone informed.
Thank you everyone for your suggestions. Really appreciate it.
