shutter taking off.... maybe transmission..

Default shutter taking off.... maybe transmission..

Never had a problem getting into gear, but when i take off from a stop theres shutter...

1995 cherokee manual transmission...

could be a miss fire, shudder could mean alot of things, do u mean as you are leaving out the clutch? If yes then it is probably clutch/flywheel

thanks for the help, even though i posted in the wrong topic, i have an XJ... but it only happens when i take off... not sure if its when i release the clutch... it that makes sense..

mine does it too and the clutch is only 3 weeks old. All new parts. When I was in there I found that the input shaft to the tranny had a wobble. My thought is that right there. Need to pick up a tranny and get it rebuilt and put in I guess.

could be clutch chatter (weak springs) bad bearings

could it be a simple tune up shudder? maybe need new plugs/wires/cap/rotor?

i have a very noticeable shudder when i let out my clutch too. i can't tell you what it is since i don't really know, but i suspect it is coming from the clutch/flywheel area....if you can deal with the sound and it drives fine i wouldn't really worry about it, my jeep has been doing that pretty much since i bought it a couple years ago and it hasn't gotten any worse or any better
