shock replacement

Default shock replacement

ok so im repalcing my shocks and i was wondering if theres a trick to take the front left shock out of a 97zj..the brake booster and lines are right on top of the shock bolt

Just did my 98 a couple of months ago. Get a cheap box end wrench and cut it in half. Come in from the valve cover side with it. I had to use long nose vice grips down from the top to keep the shaft from turning too. And of course - Soak it in WD-40 the day before you start.

I got a buddy to turn the shaft of the shock with a wrench on the nut on top.
