Okay, its been a long time since i owned a 4wd vehicle, I recently purchased a 1994 grand cherokee laredo, My question, and i know some might laugh, is when shifting to 4wd high can i do that on the fly?and do i have to be in neutral to shift into 4wd low.I just don't want to screw anything up thanks
^^Agreed.
The 4low thing threw me off, I didn't believe it at first, I always thought it was best to be completely stopped.
Then I read it in the owners manual, tried it, and felt how much smoother and easier it was.

Jeep says you can shift from 2WD to either full time or part time 4WD at any speeds up to 60 mph. IDK because I haven't done it at anything over 45. However, I always let up in the power when shifting.
