Shift Module
I have a 2005 Grand Cherokee and it won't shift out of first gear. I can only drive at about 15 mph, taking it up to 20-25 mph it still won't shift into second. I tried to do it manually but it won't. I've taken the shift module apart and I'm assuming that this is my problem. My check engine, abs, and brake lights are on. Does anyone have any suggestions? Do you think that it is the shift module? If it is does anyone know anywhere I can get a new one inexpensively?

You have check engine lights on? If that is so, you need to find the codes. There are many things that can cause your transmission to stick in 1 gear. Could be low fluid, bad fluid, plugged filter, sensors or others. Please find your vehicles trouble codes

Sounds like your PCM is stuck in "limp in mode" which allows you to drive it home or to a service center. IMO, there is nothing wrong with the transmission. Check your codes!
