Selec-trac part time 4WD ?
So today I put the transfer case in part time 4wd because of the freezing rain we have today, and it was great in a straight line and curves in the road, but making turns in the parking lot i could feel the front tires skipping and hesitating some. I know there is supposed to be a little bit of hesitation but it felt as though I was turning in full time 4wd. What is it suppose to feel like, I dont want to mess something up more if its showing signs of problems now.

I am no expert on transfer cases, only ever used a quadratrac, but from what I know, full time 4wd is suppose to drive more like 2wd than part time. The quadratrac's only have full time and low, so that's y I think full time is suppose to drive easier, like 2wd.

try using full time. You don't use part time on hard surfaces (pavement). Your thinking
seems to be as mine was when I first got my gc. You can run full time all the time,
if you want, with no problems except gas milage will decrease.
Part time on slippery and off road conditions.
I used the 4low last night to turn it around in the backyard, but was a PIA to get back
out (4low that is).
