Rubicon NP241OR in a '04 WJ overlander?
I've been searching a lot and can't find any info about doing a swap. It currently has the quadra drive (NV247 I think), it's got a 4.7HO automatic, don't know the transmission number. I assume it would need new driveshafts and probably a custom cross member and mount, but what else? Will it bolt on to the trans? It's being lifted this weekend, then 35s, then HP 44 front and geared & locked. I'd like to get the transfer case figured out before doing axles so I can get the driveshafts done at the same time. It'll also get armor, bumpers, etc., but that's irrelevant to the power train.

I don't think it would bolt in your trans since the tj uses a way different trans. And people act like the np241or is made out of gold the way they price them.I would rather spend the money for a atlas 2,Only stock t case i would run is a dana 300,The 300 will take a flip kit but you can twin stick it and you can get a set of 4 to 1 gears for it.

I found a JK rubi case for $1500 which sounded like a deal, but the trans attachment I figured would be a problem. Will the 300 bolt on? How much is an atlas and do they supply an adapter to go onto the trans?

1500 for a aluminum chain driven t case is way too high. The dana 300 will take a adapter/flip kit since most are passenger side drop and you need a driver drop. For the atlas http://www.advanceadapters.com/produ...transfer-case/ and they don't have your trans listed so you will need to talk to them if you need a adapter or not.
