Default rubber transmission line leak

I have a rubber transmission line that was put in about six months ago, the line leaks in the middle it is going to top of the radiator. The line runs down by the airbox the leak in in the middle, can I just cut the line back and put a union on it and run it back to the radiator, the rubber line is good not old and in good shape leak is driving me nuts! Thanks for any replies! ( 2000 jeep grand cherokee

I don't see why not. I do not believe there is much pressure in that line. I spliced a cooling trans line on a couple of vehicles to add in an additional cooler.

When I was working at Valvoline Instant Oil Change, We never found more than 40 psi in anybody's trans cooling lines. The cooling lines come off the torque converter and flow back to the trans pan. The only restriction should be the size of the tubes in the rad cooling coil.
