Default Rollover switch

Anybody know if jeeps have a rollover fuel shutoff switch and could failure of it cause the infamous "dying while driving" thing?

They have a roll over valve in the tank, but it's for the tank vent and should not cause a no start condition.

The only reason I asked is because my wife's girlfriend had a Ford Escort (Shudder) that every time she hit a large bump, the engine shut off. Ford fixed it.

Most Fords have a fuel inertia shut off switch. It will shut the fuel pump off when there is an impact (wreck), but sometimes they can work a little too well and shut the pump off after hitting a pothole. It's usually located behind the passenger side kick panel and has a button to reset it.

I guess that's one of the functions of our ASD relay, huh?
