rod direction

does anyone know in which direction the rods go facing front of block i cant find a mark on them ? and whats the best book fo a 94 cherokee laredo 4.0?

are they still attached to the piston, if so there is usually a mark of some kind on the piston. >>>???

X2, and the bigger valve Re-leaf is for the intake valve. line it up with the head and the valve, with will make the rod the correct direction (as long as it is still on the rod)
