removing the cat
Check engine light came on my 97 GC. Autozone says its something to do with the cat. So what would happen if I just remove it for now? Its a 5.2

opps the code will come on due to the cat not operating as it should.
1 o2 sen before the cat and 1 after.
if they read the same it will be because your cats bad causing the check engine light to come on.
