Recommended speeds for 4x4
I have a 98 that has part time, full time and low gearing for my 4x4. This is my first winter with my GC so I was wondering what the safe top speeds are for the part time and full time gears are and what is the difference between the two?

Think about it, 4 full time, you can use it on normal pavement. All 3 of my jeeps have the 4hi(full time) N and 4lo, so if you don't want to worry about the weather, feel free to use the 4 full time. 4 part time is for slippery cases like they said.
Edit:
And for speed while in 4 full time, drive like you normally would in the given weather conditions.

The 242 has 4hi and 4 full time which is just a fancy name for AWD.
Both the 242 and 249 cases are AWD cases

Ok you guys are being to technical 4-lo is formal power and slow speed and 4-hi is for power and normal driving and I know some of you will probably disagree but I build transfer cases and trannys so I know that I am right
