The rear window in my '95 ZJ has came loose at the top and sides. Can't figure out how the flat looking gasket could possibly hold it in and keep it sealed. Thought about using silicone adhesive and taping it down for a day but then it may never come apart if needed! Is this something I should just let the glass guys handle?

i can't remember exactly what it's called, but you can get that black sticky rubbery stuff that they use for windows at autozone. for some reason "dummy seal" comes to mind, but I'm not sure if that's what it's called. Otherwise, if you think you can get some clear sealant/adhesive in there, i don't see why that wouldn't work. it dries like soft rubber so it wouldn't stop it from coming apart if ever needed
Just bought some Goop "plumber" and sealed it up that way. Worse case scenario is $219 for a whole new window.
