rear end ID tag
I hate to bugging you all, but I did search the forum and the web and can not find info of how to id my rear end. I wrote the ID tag numbers:
52098735
735797
Does any one know of how to "decode" the ID tag. What it is my gear ratio?
It is 1996 Grand Cherokee Laredo with 6cyl 4.0.
I have problem with rear end(whining noise) and I found one on junk yard.($400) or will be better to rebuild for $850?.

rear end ID tag
It does have the towing option. I read somewhere that towing option have different gear ratio that no towing. The cover have a "bulge" on left side.
I saw optiond for D35A,B and C. Where I can get the ID "decoded"?.
