Radio upgrading
Hello,
I lost it
I built in a new dvd/radio player.if i connect a single speaker to the radio it works. But when i try to connect all the speakers using the right wires coming out of the dash.Nothing works. No sound at all.
I guess it has somithing to do with the amplifier.
But i dont know what.

if you have the infinity system, the factory amp is hooked in wrong, i had an amp issue in an install with a 96 gc, i dont remember the color of the amp wire, but it needs to be connected to the red ign power wire, so the amp turns on with the key, go through the previous posted diagram, and make sure all the speaker wires are connected properly, check and double check them, connect the power wires and the ground and use any other wires you know the purpose of, the one left over that has no coding is most likely the amp wire, dont use the diagram to try to identify the amp wire, its wrong, i used the same site for my resources
if you get the speakers working, and it cuts out at higher volume, then the amp wire is connected to one of the speakers somehow, same thing if one speaker buzzes for no reason, also an amp issue, recheck wires and hook amp into red wire (theres only one wire for the amp)
http://www.installdr.com/InstallDocs...dCherokee.html
that link has year specific diagrams, id use that one over the general, or use both and compare, make sure that there are no differences in the wire colors
Good luck, its a pita but stick with it youll get it

Its nice to hear that you've figured it out...
I had trouble with my jeeps AMP way back then and manages to fix it...
Your hard work in rewiring your speakers pays off....
