Exclamation radio buz "rfi" ?

this is not the normal radio buz I've heard b4.. more like a poppin sound.goes away as volume is lowered. Also seems to be the loudest at idle, when driving it's ok unless my foot is in the throttle . tried different stock radio and amp "stock units" no change....help me

That usually indicates a bad ground somewhere.

I figured it was a bad ground, just hoped sombody else went through this so I wouldn't have to dig to deep , what about sparkplugs? it does not have champions in it. "autolites" I know that the 4.0liter likes the champions.

It needs a PCM but you are able to drive it? I run champion plugs but the autolites should be fine.

Another cause of the buzz can be from power cables running next to audio cables...but if it's all stock thats probably not it

Default autolite plug dont work

ok I found my problem but first let me tell what my symptoms were..at start up the oil sending unit would go to 5 volts "peg out" and stay there. The radio would make a serious static noise and the pcm would freak out causing the engine to stumble and then the computer would reset. I did a few test on it , checked and installed another coil over on the spark plugs and thats when I noticed the junky autolite spark plugs. PEOPLE!! autolites dont have a built in resistor type sparkplug I bought the correct plug "champ/ngk" put them in and all my problems are gone .. I just bought this jeep cause of the huge elec. problem. ?? I bought a mint 2000 grand for 1000 bucks because someone put in the wrong spark plug .. win win for me..

Then it's the fact that they were "non-resistor" type plugs that they didn't work, not that they were autolites, you can get autolites with resistors that will work fine in the 4.0....non-resistors are not for coil-on-plug vehicles.
