Just bought a 94 grand Cherokee limited with the gold stereo system with no radio in it..put my aftermarket radio in it and no sound comes out but I got power to the head unit..any suggestions?

Did you check if it has speakers in it? Since they removed the radio they may have taken the speakers too.

^X2, and the amp under the back seat. The speakers are wired through it.

Yes I just checked to see if it had any..and..so it does...could the am be bad?? How could I check the amp?

Well I guess since it has a stock amp then it needs a remote wire from the head unit.... I figured since it was built in to the jeep I would not need one

Yes, it will need a "turn-on" wire from the aftermarket radio you install.
