Quick guess on amount of lift?
Any body want to guess the amount of lift on this ZJ? May be purchasing is but the owner doesn't know how much lift is on it (he bought it lifted and didn't really ask - he liked the look so didn't care). I am probably going to look at it Sunday weather permitting.
guess i could add tire size - he says they are 33 x 12.5. May help. I wish I had a better picture.
also - here's a pic from the front (again, sorry about the CL listing size)-

It's hard to say. 4-6" maybe? Can you get a measurement between the rockers and the ground so we'll have something to go by?
Looks good though, what's he asking?

its one of the 4.0L (underpowered by some, okay by me with gas prices). 150k on the clock, leather interior and the tires are new. He's asking $3k. Says there's a few scratches, but no rust and runs well. The wife and I are looking for a third vehicle, and after riding in my brothers 97 ZJ, she likes the ZJ more than the XJ. Worried the lift may be too much for her to drive (she drives a cavalier now) Guess I could always lower it to a more convervative lift.
When we go look at it i'll be able to get a measurement between frame rail and ground.

That's a good price, although some may not agree. The 4.0L is fine except for towing. I loved my ZJ, but sold it to my son. Oh well, we still have the WJ.

Just a guess, but looks around 6" or so. That Jeep looks great, and I think it's a good price too! But if he's asking $3k, offer $2500 and see if he takes it. Get a fender to hub measurement, then someone with a stock ZJ take the same measurement, then you'll know how much lift it has.

yea. I wouldn't do any real towing. Maybe my car on a two wheel dolly, but the car only weighs 2400 lbs, so not a huge biggy there. A little over the "standard" rated towing cap, but well under max.
My brother has a stock 97 ZJ, so I'll have him take a measurement ground to rocker.

if those are 33's than probably 5-6" if you do buy it take some pics of the suspension and arms and we can maybe figure out whos lift it is etc.
I think the price sounds good.

Looks like it was around my ride height before I had my fenders trimmed. 5-6"
Noone has mentioned this, but what are the pools of fluid underneath it?

remember Bud Light's "real American Heroes" ad campaigns, later changed to "real men of genius"? I am now thinking of the one about used car salesmen:
"that's not an oil leak- it's just sweat from all that horsepower!"
