I was looking at buying an oil sending unit directly from Mopar.com.
I'm buying this: Part # 56028807AB
BUT, underneath the part listing, it says "Caution: this part has been superseded with part # 05149064AA"
So, should i buy this part? What does this mean that it's been 'superseded' with another? When I search part # 0514906AA, it brings up a 2.8l diesel unit... So I'm extra confused.
Any insight helps! Thanks

It might help you to know I just replaced the oil pressure switch in my '00 WJ with the 4.0 with a Mopar Part #5149064AA and it works very well. It reads 40 psi at idle hot and 55 psi at 40 mph up to 70 mph. That's the fastest I've pushed it.
Welcome to CF! BTW, a WJ is Grand Cherokee from '99 to '04.
