Question about buttons and sub wiring
Hey everyone! I am knew. I just bought an 09 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It is awesome! But I would like to put some subs in. I was wondering if anyone knew if you can buy buttons so I could turn on and off my sub. The button I am refering to are the ones used for the heated seats. Can you buy those?

The way I hooked mine up is by running the remote power (blue wire, I believe, that comes from the stereo to the amp) to a switch, so if you turn the switch off it turns the amp off thus turning the sub off. Any switch will work fine just pick one out at any parts or electronics store. I got one with a red led so when the subs on the lights on.

Well on my 90 XJ I put it right next to the cigarette lighter. For an 09' grand I have no clue where would be a good spot. You just have to take apart your dash and see where space is available.

Well I did find out from some research that you can buy buttons to fit in the console from the Jeep dealership. I have also heard if the dealer doesnt have any there is a kit for fog lights that comes with the button that fits in there. It ran about $20.
