has anyone looked into propane conversions for v8 grands it has crossed my mind quite a bit recently and i was wondering if there are even kits available

LP info floats around sometimes. Search a bit, not sure if there is anything specifically about V8 models, though.

A coworker of mine had it on his V8 GMC pickup. So its possible...

yes you can convert it, only 2 major hurdles, yours is probably distributorless, and you will need a distributor, and 2 where to mount the tanks. I am contemplating this as we speak.

My buddies GMC is fairly new. I think he was distributorless. I could be wrong though.

It's a regular thing to have done here in the Uk due to our crazy fuel prices. Check some Uk sites and it should give you more info. Mine is going in for the fitting in a week or so

As far as I know, no one has a way to control just the ignition on an EFI setup. I personally am going to go to an HEI distrib, and propane.

yeah, but they will tell you for trucks, and open backed suv's only, i've been down that road.
