Default Power steering fluid

Hey guys, got an 03 grand 4.0L. Power steering fluid is low, book says MS5931. Was wondering what auto zone/advance auto parts or other name brand fluid would be compatible.

Thanks for your help,
Nick

IMHO, read the can (bottle). If it says it's compatible with Mopar fluid, buy it. Compatibility issues are about the seals used in the pump and gearbox. The wrong fliud will soften the seals and cause leaks and malfuntions.

X2 with what dave1123 said.. the fluid is either red like tranny fluid, or clear. Use the same color, but the label will tell you if it's compatible.

Is the cooling fan hydraulically driven by the power steering pump?

Good point! Leave it to Busted to think of all the options.
